I have the honour to forward the enclos-

-ed copy of letter from Mr. S. W. Iso covering a petition pray-

-ing for the grant of a piece of Crown Land having an area of

4,800 Square Feet valued by the Director of Public Works at

$1,671.00, situated at the back of the Ho Miu Ling Hospital,

for the purpose of erecting thereon & Training Institute for

Chinese Nurses and Kidwives. I enclose a plan shoving the

position of ths site.

The Director of Public Works reports

that the Government is not likely to require the land for any

special purpose now or in future, but that the erection of the

proposed building will necessitate alterations in the existing

storm-water channel, costing about $115. Subject to the cost of

such alterations in the drain as are necessary being defrayed
